Blues claim D Chorney off waivers

10/11/2011 - St. Louis, MO (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The St. Louis Blues have claimed defenseman Taylor Chorney off waivers from the Edmonton Oilers.

The 24-year-old Chorney tallied one goal and six assists in 56 career games with Edmonton.

St. Louis also placed defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo on injured reserve after suffering an upper-body injury against the Nashville Predators on October 8. He'll be eligible to return on October 16 against the Anaheim Ducks.

The 28-year-old posted six goals and 20 assists in 65 games with the Blues last season.
